In Wisconsin, near the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan, the Coley family
manages a farm called Kerith
(Care-eth).
In 1994, without prior animal husbandry experience, we
began a llama farm. Our mission was to diligently and
purposefully study llama pedigrees, phenotypes and histories,
obtaining the best known genetic pools possible for our growing
herd. In paying attention to detail, Kerith has studied and chosen
from the best of the famous Patterson Ranch in Oregon. Our
breeding program crosses famous llama lines and continues to produce
the stately, stretchy class of the Patterson llama, right here in Wisconsin. We
not only want to have "keeper" llamas, but we want to
produce "keeper" llamas for others to own and enjoy. Our llama farm
has turned into a fun family business who's breeding program is continuing the
timeless classic llama, adding today's potential, and cria-ting tomorrow's
contemporary illustrious llama of prominence.
We combine this top genetic pool with a vivacious appetite to always seek out the latest llama information on health care, nutrition, herd & pasture management. Kerith has a growing "library" of llama books, E-mail addresses, as well as good "old fashioned" friendships. We LOVE to talk llamas and continue to learn and share information with others.
Kerith llamas are loved and cared for as
extended family members. Our children are enjoying growing up
with
llamas as a part of their lives.
Our Llama business is one in
which everyone in the family can participate and also reap the pleasurable benefits equally. Our family is excited
and enthusiastic about raising and breeding llamas. We feel that
llamas would make a wonderful and fun addition to anyone's life. It is
our great delight to introduce and share the charm, and joy of a llama
lifestyle with others. You, too, can join in the fun and rewards of
llama ownership!
